Organization Description
| Mission statement | When we deliver Professional Development for classroom teachers, our goal is to arm them with tools, activities and assessments that will build student engagement. Whether a teacher has no experience with music technology or is already a seasoned producer, linking up with YPG will help them get the most out of the curricula and their technology. We are committed to supporting teachers and cultivating creative classrooms where students and teachers experience the joy of making music. Our PD breaks down into two main categories: technical skills and pedagogical approaches. While our curricula provide in-depth videos and a suite of learning materials, music teachers without much technological experience can benefit from being able to ask questions and work through more difficult topics. We also help teachers come up with approaches to best engage the specific students in their classrooms. We go through the pedagogies described in our teacher's handbook and customize from there. |
