Mission statementThe mission of Unleash the Brilliance is to reduce at-risk behaviors, increase school attendance, and increase graduation rates. We believe that by empowering youth to make positive decisions, we can reduce the number of youth that get caught in the school to prison pipeline.
Service(s) descriptionUnleash the Brilliance (UTB) provides support to students who have experienced complex trauma, including the experience of racism, and students who are struggling academically and socially/emotionally. UTB offers restorative practices, including restorative circles, talking circles, wellness/healing circles, and individual mentoring/coaching. The goal of the program is to reduce violence, truancy, suspensions and expulsions by means of PBIS, SEL, Trauma Informed and Restorative Practices with designated students identified by the school.

Behavior/Social and Emotional Learning and Supports (1 program)

Programs that support adults and students in developing 21st century skills and competencies such as self-management, social awareness, responsible decision-making, and building trusting relationships, in order to handle ourselves, our relationships, and our work/studies effectively. This is inclusive of programs supporting alternative discipline approaches such as restorative justice.
